OVLA Seeks Next Executive Director
Oregon Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts (OVLA) is committed to supporting the Oregon creative community by providing resources and educational programs related to the legal issues faced by artists and organizations in the visual, literary, performance, media, and other arts. We are looking for a dynamic person to lead our organization, someone who is passionate about helping creatives navigate the landscape of legal issues they encounter, and someone who has the skills and experience to help OVLA thrive as it serves the arts community in Oregon.
The Executive Director works collaboratively with the OVLA Board of Directors, law students and volunteers to coordinate programming, arrange monthly pro-bono clinical operations, manage volunteers, and facilitate educational outreach. The Executive Director is also responsible for budget management and development efforts, including direct fundraising as well as grant writing.
The position is 50% (approximately 20 hours/ week). Self-directed work habits are a must. Funding is secured for six months. Salary is competitive and dependent on experience.
